KH7 and Laia Sanz join HRC

The KH7 sponsored and 16 times world champion pilot Laia Sanz will be the only official female pilot in the 2015 Dakar Rally. Plus, she will the first woman to ever compete as part of the Honda HRC Rally Team. KH7 makes this its first appearance as a new sponsor for Honda HRC, in order to maximize its presence in a team which has one of the greatest expectations of victory.

The Honda HRC Team has revealed that Laia sanz will be joining the team as an official pilot for the 2015 Dakar Rally. The agreement between both parties was made official last Thursday at the Motorland Aragón Circuit in Alcañiz (Teruel), as part of the presentation for the Japanese company’s plans for 2015. Honda HRC’s team leader will still be the Spanish pilot Joan Barreda, alongside with Portuguese pilots Paulo Gonçalves and Helder Rodrigues and Chilean pilot Jeremías Israel, the latter joining up as a new face like Laia Sanz does.

Josep M. Lloreda, president of KH Lloreda, has explained that “with this agreement between Laia Sanz and Honda HRC, we have had the perfect chance to create a great sports duo, formed by KH7’s best ambassador and the motorcycle brand. We hope that this union bears a lot of fruit and that Laia manages to complete the Dakar again, with the same excellent results as this year or even better, even though it´s a very hard test and we must stay prudent about expectations. On the other hand, any of the pilots of the team can win or be in the highest positions since they are all amazing sportspeople, and so they have shown the world in the past. It would be fantastic news that one of them carries our brand to final victory”.
